New brand strategy: uniscon communicates as idgard

Munich, July 20, 2022 – Munich-based secure cloud provider uniscon announces that it is now operating under the name idgard – New brand strategy: uniscon communicates as idgard. Working with branding agency Serious Business, the company has not only redesigned its website from scratch, but also undergone a rebranding. The new brand strategy is rounded off by a fresh corporate design.

idgard stands for data protection at the highest level

For almost 13 years, the company has been one of Europe’s leading secure cloud providers with its cloud collaboration service idgard, and has been part of TÜV SÜD’s digitalization strategy since 2017. “The new presence under the name ‘idgard’ was an obvious choice for us,” says uniscon CEO Karl Altmann. “Our customers know idgard and they know: The name stands for data protection and data security at the highest possible level. This will not change in the future.”
Although uniscon GmbH will continue to operate under the same name, it will communicate as idgard from now on – a decision that is reflected in the entire brand presence and all communication channels. This includes the privacyblog as well as the company’s social media channels.

With a strong partner to the new brand strategy

With Serious Business, uniscon has brought a strong partner on board: The agency for branding and strategic design not only convinces with comprehensive industry knowledge, but above all with its holistic expertise in the areas of digital design and brand activation. Together with them, uniscon developed not only a modern website but also a new communication concept that revolves entirely around the idgard brand. The goal: a sharper brand profile and improved usability.

Nothing changes in terms of security

idgard remains secure: The business cloud for file transfer, virtual data rooms and digital collaboration continues to rely on a confidential computing approach at server level. Sealed hardware, hardened operating systems and several other interlocking technical protection measures ensure that data in the cloud is reliably protected against unauthorized access. Data sovereignty lies solely with the user – even administrators or provider employees have no access to the data in the cloud. Thanks to the patented Sealed Cloud Technology, idgard is fully DSGVO-compliant and so secure that even doctors, lawyers, credit institutions, operators of critical infrastructures (KRITIS) and holders of professional secrets according to §203 StGB are allowed to use the service.
