Highly secure data centers

Thanks to state-of-the-art security solutions, the highly available and multi-award-winning idgard data centers are suitable – and certified – for even the most demanding regulatory requirements. They also focus on sustainability and are set to achieve complete climate neutrality by 2030.

HIGHLY SECURE DATA CENTERS

Protective shields for your data

Your data is safe in idgard’s data centers – because we have our own servers in the data centers that are reserved exclusively for us. This means that idgard controls the entire server stack – for an extra dimension of protection. This means that malware or hackers who want to exploit processor vulnerabilities don’t stand a chance.

Modern, highly secure data centers

The idgard data centers, equipped with state-of-the-art security technology, underline our commitment to the physical protection of your data. They have received multiple awards and certifications and are designed to meet the highest regulatory requirements of our customers. They are also among the most secure and advanced data centers in Europe.

The advantages of our data centers at a glance

The strict data center security measures ensure that your data effectively resides in an ultra secure digital bank vault. Thanks to the special precautions taken by our data centers, idgard is also well positioned for the future. As a user, you benefit from many aspects:

Server-Certification

Certifications of our data centers

Independent certificates not only prove that a service offers the necessary level of protection. They also make it easier to compare different cloud offerings.

The clear advantage for you: idgard data centers are equipped with a large number of certificates that prove that your data is protected to the highest degree. The certificates of our data centers include:

  • ISO/IEC 27001 (information security)
  • ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (certification based on the BSI’s IT baseline protection)
  • ISO/IEC 20000-1 (service management)
  • ISO 9001:2015 (quality management)
  • EN 50600 (construction and operation of secure data centers)
  • VdS 3406 (object-specific security management)
  • PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
  • ISAE 3402 Type II (internal control system based on COBIT 5)
MaximaleSicherheit

Maximum security

A large number of precautions in our data centers ensure maximum security for your data: from hermetic perimeter protection, a multi-level security concept and strict monitoring of the security zones, to round-the-clock monitoring of the site by a specially trained security service and increased standards in terms of construction and personnel.

DatenDeutschland

Data storage in Germany

The operation and storage of data takes place exclusively in Germany, and the staff involved are certified. This also ensures the maximum security of your data.

HousingNotHosting

Housing not hosting

We operate our own servers in the data centers, on which only idgard is located and no other services or services from other providers – this is also referred to as server housing in contrast to classic hosting, where several services or services from different providers run on one server stack. This approach makes it impossible to run malware or exploit processor vulnerabilities.

Maximum-Availability

Maximum availability

An extremely complex concept ensures the complete and spatially separated redundancy and maintenance of all key supply routes of the idgard data centers. This in turn enables maximum availability of the data centers.

Scalability

Scalability

Thanks to state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technology, idgard data centers are flexibly scalable. This means that we are also well equipped for your future requirements and can grow with you.

Climate

Focus on climate neutrality

The idgard data centers are part of the “Climate neutrality for data centers” initiative founded in 2021. Its main goal is to become climate neutral by 2030 at the latest. The data center operators are thus setting themselves more ambitious goals and standards than those required by law. The targets include, among other things

  • Energy efficiency
  • Purchase of 100% renewable energy
  • Resource-saving use of water
  • Checking the possibilities of heat recovery
Nachhaltigkeit

Sustainability

Ecological responsibility is also a top priority at the idgard data centers. This is why they purchase electricity from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, water and biogas.

Energie-Effizienz

Energy efficiency

The idgard data centers meet the high requirements of the CMS standard 83 “Certification of the generation of electricity from renewable energies (generation EE)” of the technical inspection associations (TÜV). For example, energy-saving cooling systems based on the indirect use of outside air ensure energy efficiency.
