Frequently Asked Questions
How can I test idgard and which features are available during the trial period?
Testing “idgard Essentials” or “idgard Growth”
To test idgard, first select the package that meets your requirements – either “Essentials” or “Growth”. Then click on the “Start free trial” button. As soon as you have registered online, you can start the test immediately.
During the 14-day testing period, you will have full access to the selected package, including all its included features. This allows you to thoroughly acquaint yourself with idgard and discover how it can meet your requirements. After this trial period, you can decide which package you would like to proceed with.
You do not take any risks, as the test phase ends automatically without you having to actively cancel. This gives you the freedom to test without any obligations.
Testing “idgard Enterprise”
If you are interested in implementing idgard within your organization with a minimum of 25 users, we recommend the “idgard Enterprise” package. In this case, please click on the “Contact Sales” button.
You will be asked to complete a short form so that we can provide you with the best possible support.

What licenses are available at idgard?
Full license (for internal users, employees & external partners)

What is the total price for my order?
The total price for your order with idgard is based on a straightforward pricing model consisting of only a few components. In the standard scenario, we take into account:
- Users per month: The number of users who wish to use idgard in your organization.
- Data rooms per month: The number of virtual data rooms you require on a monthly basis to securely and audit-proofly organize and share your files and information. Please note that you can use idgard PrivacyBoxes for convenient data storage at no additional cost. Please note that no data room can be booked with idgard Essentials.
- Storage in 10 GB per month: The required storage space, measured in units of 10 GB, to securely store your data.
Please note that a minimum number of licenses applies for certain idgard editions:
- idgard Essentials and idgard Growth: The minimum license quantity is 5 users.
- idgard Enterprise: A minimum license quantity of 25 users is required for the Enterprise version.
This straightforward pricing structure allows you to easily calculate the total price of your order according to your specific requirements. Please note that the listed prices are net selling prices and do not include the applicable value-added tax (VAT).
What happens after the trial period?
If you decide to use idgard during your 14-day trial period, you will find an orange banner at the bottom of your idgard account that will be visible throughout the trial period. If you click on it, you will be forwarded directly to the customer portal. In the customer portal, you can then simply click on the “Buy now” button.
There you will be guided through the purchase process and have the option of adding additional licenses, storage space and data rooms. For billing, you can choose between SEPA direct debit and credit card.
If you decide not to use idgard, your trial will end automatically at the end of the 14-day trial period. There are no costs for you and it is not necessary to cancel.
Which certifications does idgard have?
idgard is certified in the highest protection class for cloud services. TÜViT (TÜV Nord) certified idgard for the first time in 2016 in accordance with the Trusted Cloud Data Protection Profile (TCDP), which is based on ISO standard 27018:2014. The certificate confirms the high level of security and data protection-compliant use in a business environment.
