How does secure data exchange with idgard between companies work?
You can add an existing idgard user to any “Privacy Box” (shared cloud repository). If the user doesn’t yet have an idgard account, you assign a guest license and send them a registration link. After registration, they define their own login credentials.
What is the difference between an administrator, a full license, and a guest license?
Administrator license: A full license user can be granted admin rights. In self-service mode, admins can add further full and guest licenses, create data rooms, and invite external users. idgard®
Full license: Internal staff get full licenses; they can create boxes, upload/download documents, chat, invite guests, and integrate with LDAP/Active Directory. idgard®
Guest license: For external partners or clients. Guest users can use all permitted functions in boxes they are invited to (permissions per box), but cannot create their own boxes or invite others. They cannot be assigned via LDAP/EMS. idgard®
Without a license, a read-only link (“Leselink”) can be used for one-way access: recipients may download files but not upload or communicate.
